This past weekend I had the privilege of attending the inaugural Memphis Film Prize as a Top 10 filmmaker with my short Final Hit. The atmosphere was incredibly supportive, encouraging, and collaborative. I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with the other filmmakers to discuss their projects. I was excited to see so many people turn out for each screening and I felt extremely proud whenever an attendee sought me out to compliment Final Hit. And although I didn't take home the grand prize, I was incredibly honored just to be in the mix with such a wonderful slate of films. Now I will turn my attention to other festivals so that Final Hit reaches a wider audience.
