Kmart is one of St. Jude's many corporate partners. To raise money for the hospital this holiday season, Kmart created The Giving Hat, a one-size-fits-all winter knit hat with embroidered messages, inspired by St. Jude patients. For every hat sold, $1 will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Kmart came to us with an idea to produce a spot, highlighting the hat and their fundraising efforts. During pre-production, I worked with one of our producers and another shooter/editor on our team to develop the creative, write the brief, secure locations, and schedule the production. We shot over the course of four days in several locations throughout Memphis. I was the Director of Photography for the spot.
